The 3rd Annual Art on the Lawn Art Show will return to the front lawn of the Giles County Courthouse on a new date this year, Saturday, September 20th, 2008. Artists within a 75 mile radius of the Courthouse are invited to apply. Acceptance into the show is on a first come, first serve basis, and work is juried to assure a good mix of mediums on display for our attending citizens.

All work must be original, handcrafted work. Prior year artists have displayed photography, pastel, oil, watercolor, clay, pen and ink and wood turning.  A Best in
Show Award, of $350, will be given as well as an Honorable Mention award.

A special breakfast, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance and Inn at Riverbend will be available for all artists during the pre-show and set up time. The show will open at 10:00 am and conclude at 5pm with the Best in Show Award announced at an afternoon social at 4pm, sponsored by Appalachian Power.  Live music throughout the day will include string quartets with classical music.
